Samsung is gearing up to launch One UI 8.5 in the first quarter of 2026. The company initiated internal testing of One UI 8.5 a while ago, but it was limited to a few select devices. Recently, Samsung has expanded the internal testing to many devices, as per the test firmware on official servers.
One UI 8.5 test firmware was spotted recently for several Galaxy devices on official test servers. This indicates that Samsung has started internal testing of One UI 8.5 on these devices. In case you don’t know, the One UI 8.5 beta is currently available to the public only for Galaxy S25 devices. It’s unclear whether Samsung will extend the public beta testing to other devices.
The internal testing of One UI 8.5 is currently live on various Galaxy devices, including some mid-range and budget phones. Here’s a list of Samsung Galaxy devices on which the One UI 8.5 test build has been spotted so far.

Although Samsung is internally testing One UI 8.5 on several devices, the public beta won’t be available on all of them. If your device doesn’t receive the public beta, you’ll get to experience it directly after the official rollout.
One UI 8.5 is a complete update that improves the overall performance of the device and introduces several new features. According to the feedback from Galaxy S25 users, One UI 8.5 is insanely fast and way better than the official One UI 8.
