The Oppo Find X5 Pro is now receiving the official ColorOS 16 update based on Android 16. This is the fourth major update for the device and may be its final one. Initially, Oppo had promised three years of OS updates, but they surprised the device owners with an extra OS upgrade.
As usual, the initial rollout of ColorOS 16 starts with beta users. Currently, the update is available in Indonesia and will soon be rolled out to other countries. Although the update is first available to beta users, it should not be confused with a beta build; it is still an official update, just released for testers first.
To apply for the update, ensure that you are using the latest detectable version, which is CPH2305_16.0.3.500(EX01). Then follow the steps mentioned below.
- Go to Settings > System & update > Software update > Tap the top of the page > Tap icon on the top right > Beta program > Release candidate > Apply Now
- Detect the update > Download Now – You will receive the new version.
For beta users, the update size might be smaller, but for general users, it will be larger, maybe over 2GB. Therefore, make sure to download the update over Wi-Fi.
The ColorOS 16 is a major update that introduces several changes and new features. It also includes advanced customization options that are likely to be popular for the next few years. Find X5 Pro users are quite lucky as the support will end after a great update.
The new update offers various other improvements, such as a major design overhaul, improved performance, smoother animations, full-screen AOD, resize folder and app icons on home screen, AI portrait glow in photo editing, upgraded O+ connect, and a plethora of new features and updated system apps.
