Deputy Minister Mondli Gungubele of South Africa recently held a bilateral meeting with the Ambassador of the Netherlands to discuss key areas of digital cooperation between the two countries. The discussions focused on Digital Skills development, Emerging Technologies, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cybersecurity, and Online Child Protection, reflecting both nations’ commitment to advancing innovation and safeguarding online spaces.
The meeting concluded with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), formalizing the partnership and underscoring a shared dedication to fostering digital innovation, strengthening cybersecurity measures, and protecting vulnerable users online. This collaboration is expected to enhance joint efforts in technology development and knowledge sharing between South Africa and the Netherlands.
