Today marks the end of pre-orders and the start of global availability for the Galaxy S26 series. The new flagship series is a smash hit with a “double-digit” percentage increase in pre-orders. Correction, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is a smash hit, while the other two models are also-rans.
Samsung reports that the S26 Ultra accounted for 70% of pre-orders. Presumably, this is for global pre-orders since the number matches the report from Korea, but is below the whopping 80% share for the US.
Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra and S25 Ultra
The press release adds some details on the S26 series performance in Europe too. Galaxy S26 Ultra pre-orders were up 20% compared to last year (comparing with the S25 Ultra). The Ultra increased its share of the total pre-orders by 10% to the detriment of the Galaxy S26 and S26+. Even so, the S26 series pre-orders have surpassed last year’s S25 series pre-orders in Europe.
Besides the phones, Samsung also unveiled new Galaxy Buds4 series headphones. Those were also on pre-order until today.
