During the event, Minister of ICT Emma Theofelus and Mr. Alexander Shoitov, Deputy Minister of Digital Development, Communications, and Mass Media of Russia, emphasized the strategic importance of international cooperation in ICT. Discussions focused on fostering joint initiatives in digital development, technological innovation, and media collaboration, with an aim to enhance Namibia’s digital capabilities and leverage expertise from global partners.
The engagement reflects Namibia’s ongoing commitment to expanding its digital infrastructure, modernizing services, and positioning the country as an active player in international technology partnerships. Both nations reaffirmed their long-standing friendship while identifying specific areas for technical cooperation and knowledge sharing in ICT and digital transformation.
