Samsung is continuously expanding the Android 16-based One UI 8.5 update to more Galaxy devices. The stable One UI 8.5 update is now rolling out to the Galaxy A17, Galaxy M55, and Galaxy Tab A9 Plus. It brings several new features and major improvements to these devices.
A few weeks ago, Samsung began the stable One UI 8.5 rollout with the Galaxy S25 series, and since then, the company has extended the update to several additional models. One UI 8.5 is a significant update, possibly even larger in terms of changes and features than the upcoming One UI 9 update.
The One UI 8.5 update for the Galaxy A17 is rolling out globally, while the update for Galaxy Tab A9 Plus is receiving the update in Europe. Meanwhile, the Galaxy M55 has started getting the major update in India. As usual, it may take a few days for the roll out to expand to all regions for these devices.

Since One UI 8.5 is a major update, it weighs over 4GB in size. However, it can vary depending on the current update and the specific device.
