Google began Android 17 development earlier than usual compared to previous Android releases. The update is currently in Beta 4 and is nearly ready for its stable public release. As always, Pixel devices will be the first to receive the official Android 17 update, while availability on other brands will depend on their respective software development and rollout schedules.
Several device makers have also started testing Android 17 on select devices, at least in its stock Android form rather than with their full custom user interfaces. To help keep track of the rollout, we’ve compiled a list of devices currently in the Android 17 Beta programs. These devices are expected to be among the first in their respective brand lineups to get Android 17 updates.
Many Android OEMs work closely with Google to provide early access to upcoming Android versions on their flagship devices. These early developer preview and beta builds are made available through the brand’s official websites.

These are the devices in which the Android 17 Beta testing is underway by their respective brand manufacturers. For most devices on the list, the beta program is based on stock Android 17, not based on their custom user interface. However, there are some exceptions, such as the Galaxy S26 series, which receives Android 17 beta with One UI 9 beta.
If you own one of these devices, you may be able to experience Android 17 before its official release. However, these early builds are only recommended for developers. If you are not a developer and want to experience Android 17 early, it may be better to wait for your device manufacturer’s custom Android 17 beta program, such as One UI, HyperOS, OxygenOS, or ColorOS. These beta updates will be more stable and practical as they will be available to the general public.
Another point to note from the list is that these devices are likely to be among the first in their respective lineups to receive the stable Android 17 update once manufacturers begin their official rollout.
