e& UAE has been named the World’s Fastest Mobile Network for the first half of 2026, according to Ookla’s Speedtest Awards, reinforcing the operator’s position as a global leader in mobile network performance.
The recognition is based on Ookla’s Speed Score, which evaluates a mobile network’s overall performance by combining download and upload speeds with latency metrics to measure both throughput and responsiveness. Only operators that have first been recognised as the fastest mobile network in their respective countries are eligible for the global award.
For the first and second quarters of 2026, e& UAE achieved a Speed Score of 88.41, outperforming other national winners to secure the top global ranking.
The operator also recorded a median mobile download speed of 826.50 Mbps and a median upload speed of 45.95 Mbps, highlighting the strength of its mobile broadband network in delivering high-speed connectivity to customers.
In terms of network responsiveness, e& UAE registered a loaded download latency of 300.17 milliseconds and a loaded upload latency of 225.38 milliseconds, metrics that form part of Ookla’s overall assessment of network performance under real-world usage conditions.
The award underscores e& UAE’s continued investment in advanced mobile infrastructure and next-generation connectivity, including 5G, as operators worldwide compete to deliver faster, more reliable mobile broadband services to consumers and businesses.
