The new Galaxy Z Flip8 and Z Fold8 Ultra are $100 more expensive than their predecessors and the Galaxy Z Fold8 (the new wide foldable) is quite pricey as well. Samsung US does offer some pre-order discounts, e.g. $150 off the Flip and $200 off the two Folds, plus an extra $100 if you complete the purchase with PayPal. You can find more details on these offers over on Samsung.com. Or you could go through a carrier instead – here is what the big three have to offer. Note that the phones become available on August 7.
T-Mobile is discounting the Galaxy Z Fold8 and the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra by $1,900. That means that you can have the wide model for free – T-Mobile calls this “Galaxy Z Fold8 on Us” – or the Ultra model for $200. The catch is that you have to trade in an eligible device and go on an Experience Beyond or Go5G Next plan.
If you prefer the Galaxy Z Flip8 over the two Folds, T-Mobile will give you a $1,100 discount, leaving you to pay only $200. This deal is available when trading in an old device or when adding a new line on Experience More, Experience Beyond, Go5G Plus or Go5G Next.
T-Mobile offers $1,900 off the Galaxy Z Fold8 and Z Fold8 Ultra
Business customers can also get discounts – $1,300 off any of the Z8 models when switching to T-Mobile for Business and trading in an old device on SuperMobile. Alternatively, you can get $900 off any of the three without a trade-in by adding a business line on SuperMobile.
The carrier has offers on the two watches – the Galaxy Watch9 and Galaxy Watch Ultra2. With a $430 discount, the 40mm Watch9 ends up being free, while the Ultra2 price drops to $270. You will need a Watch Plan Plus and the actual discount will be doled out via 24 monthly bill credits.

Similarly, AT&T offers the Galaxy Z Fold8 for free with an eligible trade-in. You can also get a Watch9 or a Galaxy Tab A11+ for $2/month each. The Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra is up to $1,900 off, leaving you to pay $200. This also requires an eligible trade-in.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip8 gets a slightly smaller discount than on T-Mobile – it’s up to $1,000 off and does require a trade-in. New customers can switch to AT&T and the carrier will pay off a phone balance up to $800 a line (up to 10 lines).
AT&T also offers the Galaxy Z Fold8 for free
AT&T Business customers can get the Galaxy Z Flip8 from $400, the Z Fold8 from $800 and the Z Fold8 Ultra from $1,100 with a two-year contract.

Verizon offers $460 in promotional credit over a 48-month payment plan for the Galaxy Z Fold8 if you add a new line to a $30/month Simplicity Plan. Plus the $30 a month payment for the phone itself, totaling $1,440 over the 4 year period ($1,900 – $460 = $1,440). The offer for the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra is a $420 discount, also provided as promotional credit spread over 48 months. The monthly payments for the phone are $35. You can get a bigger $1,100 discount on both phones if you upgrade through an Unlimited Plus or Unlimited Ultimate plan with a 36-month payment plan.
Verizon offers $460 in promotional credit for the Galaxy Z Fold8
It seems that Verizon doesn’t offer the Z Flip8 at all, so there are no deals for it. But it does have BYOD watch deals with $430 in promotional credits (over a 36-month period) for the Watch9 (40mm) and Watch Ultra2.
