The integration makes Bolt the first ride-hailing platform accessible through ChatGPT across the European Union, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Norway, Ukraine and Azerbaijan.
Bolt has announced a global integration with ChatGPT, making its ride-hailing service available through the AI assistant for the first time. The partnership enables ChatGPT’s estimated 900 million weekly users to discover and begin booking Bolt rides directly within their conversations with the chatbot.
The integration makes Bolt the first ride-hailing platform accessible through ChatGPT across the European Union, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Norway, Ukraine and Azerbaijan. The move reflects the growing role of artificial intelligence in helping consumers plan and manage everyday activities, including travel.
Through the integration, users can interact with Bolt inside ChatGPT to receive an upfront fare estimate, compare route options and check their driver’s estimated arrival time. The AI also recommends the most convenient pickup location, helping to reduce waiting times before a ride begins.
Once users are ready to travel, the trip details are seamlessly transferred to the Bolt app, where the booking is completed. While payments will initially continue to be processed through the Bolt app, the company said it plans to introduce the ability for customers to pay for rides directly within ChatGPT in the future.
Bolt said the integration comes at a time when AI is becoming a primary channel for travel planning. Citing Accenture’s Consumer Pulse Research 2025, which surveyed 18,000 consumers across 14 countries, the company noted that 80% of travellers globally now use AI tools for travel-related purposes, while more than half are willing to allow AI to manage their travel arrangements entirely.
“People don’t plan their evening in five different apps anymore. A lot of that planning happens in one conversation with AI now. For years, booking a ride meant opening a dedicated ride-hailing app. As more everyday interactions take place through AI, we think requesting a ride should be just as straightforward: ask, see the price, and go.”

The integration represents another step in the evolution of conversational AI from an information tool to a platform for completing real-world tasks. For Bolt, it also expands access to its services by embedding ride-hailing into one of the world’s most widely used AI assistants, reducing the need for users to switch between multiple applications when planning their journeys.
