According to the company, the tools allow enterprises to deploy AI at scale while leveraging their existing permissions, access controls and governance framework.
Egnyte has unveiled a new suite of AI-powered workflow automation capabilities designed to help organizations streamline document-intensive processes, structure unstructured content and deploy governed AI agents while maintaining compliance and security within their existing content environment.
The new capabilities—Bulk Extraction, Agent Builder and Workflow Builder—are built on the Egnyte platform and enable organizations to automate business-critical workflows without introducing additional governance layers. According to the company, the tools allow enterprises to deploy AI at scale while leveraging their existing permissions, access controls and governance framework.
“AI-powered automation shouldn’t require manual work and experts to build out regulated processes. We are giving teams the building blocks to bring unstructured content, AI agents, and workflows under one governed, automated environment. Built on the platform they already trust, with their existing permissions and controls in place, teams can automate business processes without adding a separate governance layer because it’s built into the platform.”
– Prasad Gune, Chief Product Officer, Egnyte
A key component of the release is Bulk Extraction, which automatically applies metadata across large volumes of unstructured content, transforming documents into structured, searchable data. Egnyte said the capability eliminates manual tagging while ensuring content remains protected through the platform’s existing permission model.
The company also introduced Agent Builder, a natural language-based tool that enables organizations to create custom AI agents or deploy pre-built agents from the Egnyte Agent Marketplace without requiring developer expertise. Egnyte noted that all AI agents operate within its governance framework, ensuring that data remains within the organization’s protected environment and that every action is auditable.
In addition, the new Workflow Builder provides a no-code interface for automating document-heavy processes such as standard operating procedure reviews and compliance approvals. The solution incorporates conditional logic, AI agent integrations and human approval checkpoints to help organizations automate workflows while maintaining oversight and regulatory compliance.
Egnyte has also redesigned its AI Workspace, bringing together its AI Assistant, AI agents and Agent Marketplace into a unified interface. The updated workspace includes integrated document creation capabilities, allowing users to generate, edit and refine content using governed enterprise data without switching between multiple applications.
The company further expanded its Regulation-to-Audit compliance framework with four integrated solutions covering sensitive content protection, compliance management, AI-assisted compliance assessments and policy configuration. Egnyte said continuous monitoring and real-time audit logging will help organizations simplify compliance reporting and improve audit readiness.
“The next phase of enterprise AI is about which platforms can be trusted to run automated processes end to end, from extraction through agents, workflows, and compliance. Egnyte is showing what that looks like when governance is the starting point instead of an add-on.”
– Alan Pelz-Sharpe, Founder, Deep Analysis
Egnyte said the latest release builds on its existing AI capabilities, including its AI Assistant, task-specific AI agents and AI Safeguards, extending the platform from AI-assisted productivity tools to end-to-end workflow automation for regulated industries.
