The Samsung Galaxy S23 series is now receiving the second One UI 8 Beta in Korea and India. It is expected to be released for other regions soon. The incremental beta update comes with build ZYI5 and weighs about 500MB. As expected, the second beta focuses on bug fixes and improvements.
Samsung is currently testing the One UI 8 beta on various Galaxy models, including the Galaxy S23 series, which received its first beta last week. The Galaxy S23 is expected to receive the stable One UI 8 update in October. If Samsung maintains this pace, the stable One UI 8 update is likely to be released on time for the Galaxy S23.
The first beta of One UI 8 introduced most of the features and changes for the Galaxy S23 series. The second beta addresses some known issues from the first beta. Here’s the full changelog that comes with the One UI 8 Beta 2.
- Fixed the reset issue while using the phone
- Fixed the issue that the Dex setting value is not maintained when fota update to One Ul 8 from the previous OS
- Fixed the issue of Galaxy Watch7 clock weather app not being updated in real time
If you’re a Galaxy S23 user and have joined the One UI 8 beta program, the second beta OTA will be available on your phone if it hasn’t already. To check for the update, go to Settings > Software Update > Download and Install.
If you haven’t joined the beta program yet but want to test One UI 8, you can join the beta program in the Samsung Members app. Before switching to beta, make sure to back up important data first.
