Following the fourth beta release last week, Samsung has released the fifth beta of One UI 8 Watch for the Galaxy Watch 7. This update is currently rolling out in Korea and may soon be released to other beta eligible regions.
Samsung is currently testing One UI 8 Watch on various eligible Galaxy Watches. Among these, the Galaxy Watch 7 will be the first to receive the update. With this beta release, the stable update is now closer than ever.
According to the recently leaked One UI 8 rollout schedule, the stable update might be released for the Galaxy Watch 7 in early October. So, the One UI 8 Watch Beta 5 could potentially be the last beta for the Galaxy Watch 7.
The Beta 5 for Galaxy Watch 7 is available with build version ZYI4. Since the beta is in the final stages, the fifth beta focuses on bug fixes for a stable experience. Here’s the changelog translated from Korean.
One UI 8 Watch Beta 5 changes/improvements
- Improved the issue of exercise ending when a reminder to take medicine is triggered while running
- Improved the issue of health tiles being displayed as blank
- Improved the issue of stuttering while using the watch

If you’ve enrolled in the beta program for your Galaxy Watch 7, the Beta 5 update will be available on your device via OTA if it hasn’t already. However, if you haven’t enrolled in the beta, there’s no point in joining now, as the One UI 8 Watch will be released to the public soon.
One UI 8 Watch is a major update for the Galaxy Watch 4 series, Galaxy Watch 5 series, Galaxy Watch 6 series, Galaxy Watch 7 series, Galaxy Watch FE, and Galaxy Watch Ultra. The upcoming major release packs some new features, such as new watch faces, bedtime guidance, Vascular Load, Running Coach, and Antioxidant Index. It’s important to note that the availability of new features may vary by device. However, the Galaxy Watch 7 is expected to feature most of these features because of flagship hardware.
