Vivo has finally decided to bring OriginOS 6 to the global market instead of keeping it exclusive to China. The company will officially unveil the OriginOS 6 on October 15 globally. Vivo has also started the OriginOS 6 preview program registration, giving users the chance to participate in early testing. An official has further confirmed the beta build release date.
In a screenshot shared by a well-known tipster, Abhishek Yadav, the OriginOS 6 beta plan for India is revealed. It’s possible that a similar release plan will be followed in other regions, although it may not be identical.
According to a Vivo representative, the OriginOS 6 beta rollout will begin on October 15, coinciding with its global official announcement. The OriginOS 6 beta will be available to shortlisted users through the preview program.
Vivo will ready a Telegram group by October 13, which will include members who are shortlisted for the beta update. All relevant information will be shared with users in this group.
The OriginOS 6 Beta will run until November 6. After that, Vivo might release the stable update as early as November 6.
This information is based on a reply from a Vivo India official. However, similar timeline is expected in other regions where beta program is scheduled.
OriginOS 6 seems a big upgrade especially for users who are using FunTouch. Just like many other Android OS, it also takes inspiration from iOS. The latest OriginOS 6 to brings various new features, improvements and UI redesign. Vivo has also shared a demo revealing icons, Settings UI, and a smooth transition animation.
