The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has launched its 2025 Management Retreat in Kaduna under the theme “From Digital Access to Intelligent Delivery: The New Era of Corporate Registry.” The event marks a pivotal moment in the Commission’s ongoing digital transformation drive, highlighting its successful integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into core operational processes.
During the opening session, Registrar-General and CEO of the CAC, Hussaini Ishaq Magaji (SAN), announced that the Commission now achieves over **11,000 name reservations daily—completed within one minute—**with company certificates issued within minutes. He attributed these achievements to the effective deployment of AI technologies within the organization’s systems.
Magaji revealed that the next phase of the CAC’s AI implementation will see AI agents assisting in compliance verification, registry operations, and customer service. A dedicated CAC-branded AI tool will be developed to automatically check compliance with existing laws and regulations, while another AI system will review and approve or reject registry applications in real time. Additionally, the Commission’s call centre operations will be enhanced by AI that can read and process emails, detect duplicates, and forward messages to the appropriate units within minutes, improving communication efficiency and response times.
He emphasized that AI should be viewed as an ally that makes work more meaningful, reducing manual tasks and improving accuracy. He urged staff to maintain transparency and integrity, noting that AI systems are capable of detecting anomalies and ensuring accountability within corporate governance processes.
The retreat, which runs until October 18, 2025, features several expert presentations, including “Perspectives on Corporate Affairs Commission’s Service Delivery” by Princess Zahrah Mustapha Audu, Director-General of the Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council (PEBEC), and “From Digitisation to Smart: Managing the Transition” by Solomon Musa Odole.
The 2025 Management Retreat underscores CAC’s commitment to embracing intelligent automation to enhance service delivery, improve business registration efficiency, and strengthen corporate transparency in Nigeria’s business environment.
