The launch event, held at the Pullman Hotel, marks a major step in modernizing baccalaureate registration across the country.
The Agence Nationale de la Statistique et de la Démographie (ANSD), in partnership with the Office of the Baccalaureate, officially launched the PortailBac enrollment platform in Senegal on November 11, 2025. The launch event, held at the Pullman Hotel, marks a major step in modernizing baccalaureate registration across the country.
The ceremony was attended by key officials, including Dr. Abdou Diouf, Director General of ANSD; Dr. Saliou Ndiaye from the Ministry of National Education; Pr Cheikh Ahmadou Bamba Gueye, Director of the Baccalaureate Office; and Prof. Abdoul Aziz Diouf, Director of Higher Education representing MESRI.
PortailBac introduces a fully digital process that eliminates outdated practices such as USB keys, paper thumbnails, and cluttered archives, replacing them with secure digital systems. The platform also digitizes all baccalaureate bulletins dating back to 2006, enhancing accessibility and security. Funding for the initiative was facilitated by the ANSD through the PHASAOC program.
A live demonstration of the platform was presented by Mrs. Mariama Hane Diop, followed by discussions with attendees. The event also recognized six members of the Baccalaureate Office for their dedication and contribution to the project’s success. The launch of PortailBac signifies a new era for education in Senegal, reflecting ANSD’s commitment to leveraging technology for more efficient and secure educational services.
