Xiaomi has finally started rolling out the Android 16 and HyperOS 3 update for the Poco F7 Pro globally. Some users have confirmed receiving the major update in various regions, including Malaysia and the Philippines.
The HyperOS 3 update for the Poco F7 Pro comes with build number 3.0.4.0.WOKMIXM, and it is quite big, exceeding 6GB in size. So, it’s advisable to download it over Wi-Fi.
Poco F7 Pro is a new device launched earlier this year. Android 16-based HyperOS 3 is the first major update for the device. The more powerful variant, Poco F7 Ultra, also started receiving the update earlier this month.
HyperOS 3 is a feature-rich update that introduces several new features and enhancements. Although we don’t have the update changelog yet, it’s expected to be almost similar to updates for other models. The changes include improved animations, new control center, new icons, revamped user interface, Xiaomi Hyperland (dynamic island), touch to share, enhanced lock screen customization, improved performance, and more. You can check this page for details on more changes.
The update seems to be working well, as users are reporting improvements, especially in gaming. However, as with any update, there may be some issues. The user experience can vary from person to person.
If you own a Poco F7 Pro and haven’t received the HyperOS 3 update yet, it will be available soon through an OTA update. If you’re hesitant about the update’s performance, you can wait a few days to analyze it. This is a sensible option to avoid any stress, as updates can sometimes cause issues on the device.
Before installing the update, ensure you have a backup of your data, clear enough storage space, and charge your device to at least 50%.
