Samsung will soon commence beta testing of the One UI 8.5 before its official release on select devices. Internal testing has already begun for the Galaxy S25 Ultra, and it appears that the internal testing has now also started for the Galaxy S24 Ultra.
The One UI 8.5 beta firmware has been spotted, indicating that internal testing for the Galaxy S24 Ultra has indeed commenced. The beta firmware may also pop-up for more devices later this month.
As per earlier leaks, Samsung is already testing the One UI 8.5 Beta on the Galaxy S25 Ultra and Galaxy Z Fold 7. Just like these two models, the One UI 8.5 Beta firmware for the Galaxy S24 Ultra is likely to be leaked, providing users with an opportunity to install the update unofficially on their devices.
One UI 8.5 is expected to be released alongside the Galaxy S26 series. Recently, its changelog has also been leaked. The same changelog is expected to be available with the One UI 8.5 Beta for the Galaxy S24 Ultra. While there may be minor changes based on the hardware requirements, most of the changelog will be the same across all eligible model.
We’ll have to wait and see if the Galaxy S24 Ultra will be included in the public beta program. The beta program for the Galaxy S25 Ultra is expected to kick off next week, providing users enough time to test the upcoming build.
