Another Motorola device has started receiving the major Android 16 update. Motorola has released the official Android 16 update for the Moto G67 Power. However, after the update you may not notice major differences between Android 15 and Android 16.
A Reddit user confirmed receiving the Android 16 update on their Moto G67 Power. According to the post, the update roll out began over a week ago. As the update rollout progresses gradually, some users may have already received the update, while others will receive it soon.
The Android 16 update for the Moto G67 Power comes with build number W1VN36H.60-30 and it is around 1.3GB in size. Although it’s a major update for the device, it doesn’t bring anything major. Many Motorola device users have complained that the update is being rolled out solely for the sake of it, without any valuable changes. It’s like changing build number to Android 16 while keeping everything same as Android 15.
Google is also to blame as it released the Android 16 without major changes. However other brands make up for it by adding various changes and new features into their custom OS. However, Motorola is releasing only the stock version with even fewer changes.
The update still improves security and enhances device performance. So, it’s worth upgrading just for these important changes.
As mentioned earlier, the stable Android 16 OTA update is gradually rolling out for the Moto G67 Power. If you own this device and haven’t received the major update yet, it will be available soon. Make sure your device is running the latest detectable version.
Additionally, make sure that you have taken backup of your data before installing the update. I recommend installing the update when the device is at normal temperature to avoid issues like green lines.
