Motorola unveiled a new premium line this week with the Signature phone and showcased its first book-style foldable, the Razr Fold. Alas, neither phone is available in the US (and in the case of the Fold, it might not be fully unveiled until the MWC). More competition is always good, so we just have to arm ourselves with patience. Data security startup Cyera continues on a growth tear. On Thursday, it announced a $400 million Series F funding round at a $9 billion valuation. The New York-based outfit has now raised over $1.7 billion. This funding comes just six months after the previous $540 million round at a $6 billion valuation. The new round was led by funds managed by Blackstone with participation from existing investors including Accel, Coatue, Lightspeed, Redpoint, Sapphire, Sequoia, and others. The Samsung Galaxy S26+ has received its TUV certification, which reveals that it comes with a battery having a rated capacity of 4,755 mAh. This will most likely be marketed by Samsung as a 4,900 mAh rated capacity, unchanged from the Galaxy S25+. The S26+ supports 45W wired charging. The Galaxy A57 5G’s TUV certification reveals support for 45W wired charging too, while its battery capacity hasn’t been outed. Motorola has been pretty inconsistent with flagship releases – its Edge series had an Ultra model in some years but not in others. AI research lab Anthropic continues to land sizable enterprise deals. Its latest entails bringing its large language models to a legacy German insurance giant. Anthropic on Friday announced a deal with Munich, Germany-based global insurance conglomerate Allianz to bring “responsible AI” to the insurance industry.
