If you watched all the way to the end of the new Apple TV show “Pluribus,” you may have noticed an unusual disclaimer in the credits: “This show was made by humans.” That terse message — placed right below a note that “animal wranglers were on set to ensure animal safety” — could potentially provide a model for other filmmakers seeking to highlight that their work was made without the use of generative AI. And just in case the disclaimer wasn’t clear enough, creator Vince Gilligan (best known for “Breaking Bad”) was even more emphatic in a Variety feature story…

We’ve got some bad news if you were still expecting GTA VI to drop on time. Rockstar Games has now revealed that the game is being delayed and is now set to launch on November 19, 2026. This is the second delay for the highly anticipated GTA V sequel which was originally planned to launch in 2025 but was later postponed to May 26, 2026. In an official press release message, Rockstar claims that the new launch date would allow the game to be finished “with the level of polish you have come to expect and deserve”. The developer also…
Not all data is equal. For example, when you use Google to create a backup for your Android device, you are throwing in all of the data in the backup, even data you don’t want or need. Some data comes from your device such as your call history, messages, settings, and more. Then there is app data. Android Authority, digging through beta version 25.44.32 of Google Play Services, discovered that Google is working to add individual toggles for each app leading to a more customized experience for backups. While the individual toggles do not show up in the current version of Google…
A rough week for tech stocks might signal a loss of investor confidence in artificial intelligence. The Wall Street Journal reports that the Nasdaq Composite Index was down 3% — making this its worst week since President Donald Trump announced his sweeping tariff plan in April. Tech companies that have otherwise performed well this year were among those hardest hit, with Palantir’s stock price falling 11% this week, Oracle declining by 9%, and Nvidia losing 7%. These drops also come after earnings reports in which Meta and Microsoft indicated that they plan to continue spending heavily on AI (both companies…

Pixels were on a break for a while, in terms of discounts, but now they are back in full force. The entire Pixel 10 lineup is up to $300 off and so is the vanilla model from last year. The Google Pixel 9 flaunts some advantages over its replacement – a large 1/1.31” 50MP sensor in the main camera and a high-resolution 48MP ultra-wide (vs. 13MP). It misses the 10.8MP 5x/112mm periscope, though, that’s new for 2025. It also has a slightly smaller battery, 4,700mAh vs. 4,970mAh. However, battery life on the Pixel 9 is actually better (with a 13:05h…
A recent letter from OpenAI reveals more details about how the company is hoping the federal government can support the company’s ambitious plans for data center construction. The letter — from OpenAI’s chief global affairs officer Chris Lehane and addressed to the White House’s director of science and technology policy Michael Kratsios — argued that the government should consider expanding the Advanced Manufacturing Investment Credit (AMIC) beyond semiconductor fabrication to cover electrical grid components, AI servers, and AI data centers. The AMIC is a 35% tax credit that was included in the Biden administration’s Chips Act. “Broadening coverage of the…
