The Ministry of Digital Transition and Digitalisation has officially launched the second phase of the National Rural Connectivity Program (PNCR), expanding high-speed internet access to underserved communities across Côte d’Ivoire. The initiative, which began on September 5, 2025, is being carried out with support from the Telecommunications/ICT Regulatory Authority of Côte d’Ivoire (ARTCI).
The program’s first milestone took place in the Worodougou region, where the villages of Yanfissa, Kangana, Kognimansso, and Dougbe have now been connected. Residents in these communities will benefit from improved access to essential digital services in education, healthcare, commerce, social interaction, and financial inclusion.
The connectivity drive will continue in phases, with the Kabadougou region next on the rollout schedule, beginning September 11. By the end of this phase, scheduled to conclude on September 25, 2025, the project will have extended coverage to multiple regions, including Grands-Ponts, Nawa, Sud-Comoé, Nzi, Guémon, Cavally, Poro, and Tchologo.
