While a number of Google’s Gemini features are available via Chrome, Google has so far kept a lot of its web-based AI features available for a select few regions. That in mind though, the company recently announced that it’s bringing over several Gemini features on Google Chrome to more users worldwide.
That being said, Gemini in Chrome will now be available for users in India, New Zealand, and Canada. Google adds that it’s also adding support for more than 50 additional languages, which will include Hindi, French and Spanish. AI features via Google Chrome are built with Gemini 3.1, and will be available on Chrome for desktop and iOS. For Android, users can activate Gemini by holding the power button on their phone or tablet.
These features will include Nano Banana 2 for AI-based image editing, Gmail integration, and even web content summaries. Charmaine D’Silva Director for Product Management at Chrome states:
The browser is where we get work done, learn new things and connect with the world. But sometimes, the tasks we do online — like digesting a long chemistry paper or just finding quick inspiration for dinner — can feel tedious and slow us down. That’s why we’ve built AI directly into Chrome to help people seek and understand information, whether they’re studying for an exam, shopping for the perfect gift or just taking care of their daily chores…
