Google has released the first beta of Android 16 QPR3, marking the beginning of testing for the next major quarterly release. The latest Android 16 QPR3 Beta 1 is available for Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro, Pixel 6a, Pixel 7, 7 Pro, Pixel 7a, Pixel Fold, Pixel Tablet, Pixel 8, 8 Pro, 8a, Pixel 9, 9 Pro, 9 Pro XL, 9 Pro Fold, Pixel 9a, Pixel 10, 10 Pro, 10 Pro XL, and 10 Pro Fold.
The update will be released to all users with eligible Pixel devices by the end of next quarter as the Quarterly Platform Release, commonly referred to as the Pixel Feature Drop. These updates include a good number of changes and new features.
The Android 16 QPR3 Beta 1 update comes with build number CP11.251114.006. Since it’s a beta update, it might weigh more coming from a stable build. Also, the update size can vary depending on the device.
The first beta of Android 16 QPR3 is based on the security patch level dated December 5, 2025. While Google hasn’t shared specific features included in this beta update, you can expect some new features along with improvements.
If you own an eligible Pixel device, you can enroll in the Android 16 QPR beta program to get the latest beta update. To enroll, visit the official Android Beta Program page and follow the on-screen instructions.
Once you’ve applied for the beta program, the Android 16 QPR3 Beta 1 will be immediately available on your device. You can check for the system update in Settings. Before installing the update, take a back up of your data.
