Google recently announced that it’s bringing over Cinematic Video Overviews to NotebookLM, giving users a big AI-powered boost for their content creation projects. The new feature essentially serves as a follow-up to narrated slide in Video Overviews, and combines capabilities found in Gemini 3, Nano Banana Pro and Veo 3.
Google says that Cinematic Video Overviews will be able to generate animations with highly-detailed visuals. As with most other AI-based content creation platforms, users need to merely provide prompts and sources, while the rest of the output is handled by the software. Part of Google’s announcement reads:
Gemini now acts as a creative director, making hundreds of structural and stylistic decisions to best tell the story with your sources. It determines the best narrative, visual style and format, and even refines its own work to ensure consistency.
As for availability, Cinematic Video Overviews have started rolling out for Google AI Ultra subscribers via web and mobile devices, although it’s only available in English at the moment. Additionally, users will need to be 18 years or older to use the feature.
