Samsung has commenced the One UI 8.5 Beta program, starting with the Galaxy S25 series. The beta program is live in select countries. If you own a phone eligible for the One UI 8.5 beta, you can follow this guide to download and install One UI 8.5 beta officially.
As of now, the One UI 8.5 beta is available for the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra. However, there’s no information on whether the beta program will be extended to other devices. If it does, we’ll share the news in a new article.
One UI 8.5 appears to be an interesting update with many new features and changes. The beta update changelog was already leaked a few days ago. Attracted to its changelog, many users might want to test the update as soon as the beta program commences. - Open the Samsung Members app on your Galaxy phone.
- Check the banner and spot the One UI 8.5 beta banner. You can also check the Notices page (with broadcast icon). If it’s not available, the beta program may not be available in your region or your device.
- Tap the banner and read the beta details. Follow the on-screen instructions and register for the One UI 8.5 Beta.
The One UI 8.5 beta update will be available immediately after you register for the beta. To download and install the update on your device, go to Settings > Software Update > Download and Install.
Before installing the update, make sure to backup your device and keep the phone at a normal temperature during the installation process.

This is the official method to install the One UI 8.5 beta on your device. If the One UI 8.5 firmware is available for your device, you can also flash it using an unofficial method that involves a complex process and the Odin tool.
