After announcing OriginOS 6 globally earlier this month, Vivo has begun rolling out the stable update to many of its eligible devices. iQOO 13 is the first iQOO device to receive the stable OriginOS 6 update globally. Here’s everything you need to know about this update.
The OriginOS 6 update for the iQOO 13 is being rolled out with the build number PD2408BF_EX_A_16.1.14.8.W30. Since it’s a major update, it is around 4GB in size. Make sure that you download the update over WiFi for a smooth process.
OriginOS was exclusive to China earlier, but has now expanded globally with the latest OriginOS 6. The new version replaces FunTouch OS, which was significantly inferior in terms of user experience. With OriginOS 6, Vivo and iQOO users can finally experience the real OS.
In the new features, you’ll get a revamped user interface, smooth animations, AI lightning, redesigned media player, enhanced lock screen customization, and many other features. Since the update is based on Android 16, it also includes stock Android features. The update changelog is same as mentioned in this page.
Currently, the Android 16-based stable OriginOS 6 update for iQOO 13 is rolling out in trial. The trial doesn’t mean it’s a beta release; it’s actually the stable build that’s being made available early to those who wish to test it before its wider release. If everything goes smoothly with the update in the coming days, it will automatically become available to everyone.
If you own the iQOO 13 and wish to get the stable OriginOS 6, you can manually update your device. You can download the update from Settings > System Update > Version Trial > New Version. Before starting the download, make sure to clear enough storage.
Additionally, take a backup of your data and charge your device to at least 50% before installing the update.
