If you’ve been paying attention to the recently held State of Play event by Sony, there have been several game announcements. But if you are a Marvel fan, you may have seen the announcement of the upcoming Marvel fighting game. Yes, we are talking about Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls.
This fighting game is now getting a second beta, as seen from the recently released game trailer. You can check out the second beta trailer over at the official PlayStation channel on YouTube. One of the best things about the new second beta for Marvel Tōkon Fighting Souls is the addition of two new characters. Here’s what you need to know about the second closed beta for the game.
What’s New in the Second Closed Beta for Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls?
The second closed beta for the game will now add two new characters, bringing the total character count in the game to 8. The new characters added in this beta are Spider-Man and Ghost Rider. So, if these two characters are your favorite superheroes, the second beta is your chance to play as them.
The game also introduces two new stages for players to battle in: Savage Land and X-Mansion. Savage Land is designed to look like a dinosaur-themed world, whereas X-Mansion features mutants visible in the background. Savage Land has several areas, such as the Cavern of the Banished, the Primeval Jungle, the Pangean Steppes, Ka-Zar’s Tree House, and Brachiosaurus Forest.
The new beta also introduced online lobby battles and optional offline CPU battles. You can also make use of the spectator mode to witness the battles going on, in case you have lost a team battle.
How to Join the Second Closed Beta
The second closed beta for Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls will begin at midnight on the 5th of December (PT) and can be enjoyed until the 7th of December 2025, 11:59 PM (PT). The first two days of the closed beta will give players access to the online matches and offline CPU battles. On the 7th of December, only the online battles will be playable.
If you have played the first beta of the game, then you are automatically registered for the second closed beta of Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls. But, if you have registered for the first beta but did not take part in the closed beta, then you should soon be getting an invitation to join the closed beta via the email address used to register your account for Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls.

You need to sign in using the PlayStation account that has been used to sign in to your PS5 console. Do note that this beta is only for the PS5 and the PS5 Pro consoles, and not for any other platforms.
