Motorola is all set to launch its next clamshell lineup, the Razr 70 series. The series is expected to include a base model, a plus model, and an ultra variant. Leaks have already started surfacing, and now Motorola has indirectly confirmed the launch is near by opening Android 17 beta registration for the Razor 70 Ultra.
The device was recently leaked in CAD renders, revealing its design. It was also spotted in several certification listings. However, until now, there had been no official mention of the device.
On the Motorola community page, a Senior Motorola agent has shared the Android 17 beta registration page for the Razr 70 Ultra across multiple regions, including Brazil, LATAM, EMEA, and the US.
This could indicate that Motorola is gearing up to launch the Razr 70 Ultra soon. There are already rumors suggesting an April debut, and the Android 17 beta registration going live could mean the launch might happen even earlier than expected.
The Razr 70 Ultra is rumored to be thicker than the Razr 60 Ultra. The dimensions of the Motorola Razr 70 Ultra will be 171.3 x 74.1 x 7.8mm when unfolded and 88.0 x 74.1 x 15.8mm when folded. In comparison, the Razr 60 Ultra had a thickness of 7.2 mm when folded and 15.7 mm when unfolded.
The source behind the CAD leaks claims that the increased thickness is due to increased battery capacity and improved camera hardware. The upcoming clamshell will feature a 7-inch inner display and a 4-inch cover display, similar to its predecessor.
