MTN Ghana emerged as the overall winner of the Million Dollar Challenge, reflecting the team’s exceptional performance and innovative approach across its operations. Dr. Karl Olutokun Toriola was recognised as CEO of the Year, underscoring his leadership in driving MTN’s strategic vision and impact across the continent.
In the platform-building categories, MTN Ghana led in Fintech, Enterprise, and Consumer segments, while Bayobab of the Central African Republic was recognised for excellence in Digital Infrastructure. MTN Cameroon secured the top spot in the Home category, highlighting the company’s regional diversity and operational strength.
The event also acknowledged enablers that support MTN’s growth and excellence. MTN South Africa was celebrated for its technology platforms, MTN Nigeria for value-based capital allocation, and MTN Uganda for embedding environmental, social, and governance principles at the core of its operations. MTN Cameroon received recognition for employee engagement under the Future-Fit Talent initiative, while MTN Nigeria was honoured for its organisational health performance.
