The Republic of Congo’s mobile phone market generated CFA 30.37 billion in revenue during the second quarter of 2025, representing a 3.4% decline compared to the same period in 2024, according to the latest report from the Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Postal Services (ARPCE).
Despite the dip in overall market revenue, MTN maintained its leadership position, capturing 64.8% market share and reporting a 7% increase in total subscribers. In contrast, Airtel experienced a significant 14.6% drop in subscriber numbers.
The country’s mobile subscriber base stood at 5.87 million in Q2 2025, a 1.7% decrease year-on-year.
