The launch of AppJoy reflects MTN’s ongoing strategy, in collaboration with Huawei, to expand digital lifestyle offerings and enhance the overall value of the Alola smartphone range, providing customers with seamless access to entertainment and content on the go.
MTN Zambia has unveiled AppJoy, an all-in-one digital entertainment platform, on its Alola smartphone series in partnership with Huawei. The new app provides users with access to gaming, short-form dramas, and cloud storage, all through a single platform designed to enhance digital entertainment for MTN customers using affordable smartphones.
AppJoy enables users to stream games and dramas while enjoying additional cloud storage. The service is available exclusively on Alola devices and operates on a subscription basis, with multiple packages to suit different needs: a daily plan at K2.50 offering 100MB, a weekly plan at K10 with 300MB, and a monthly plan at K20 granting 500MB of benefits. While content cannot be downloaded, subscribers can stream it multiple times during an active subscription, requiring an internet connection.
To manage subscriptions, users can opt out at any time via SMS by sending the appropriate command to 212: STOPD for daily, STOPW for weekly, and STOPM for monthly plans.
