Opera recently announced that it’s bringing new AI functionality to its Android app by way of of “Think Deeper”, an AI-based feature that’s designed to prioritize analytical reasoning over instant responses. Opera says that by moving the AI assistant directly into the main search bar, users can now access a “chain of thought” process with a single tap. As per the official announcement:

According to Opera, Think Deeper engages in a multi-step reasoning protocol unlike standard AI models that rely on quick, intuitive pattern-matching. It pauses to verify information through live web searches and internal logic before delivering a final answer, which on paper should reduce AI hallucinations, which still occur among different AI models every now and then.
This in turn makes the browser a more reliable tool for complex tasks such as fact-checking recent events, comparing technical specifications, or building detailed travel itineraries, for example. If you’re using Opera for Android, here’s how you can access the feature:
