Oppo has been steadily rolling out the ColorOS 16 update to a wider range of devices since its first release. The latest to receive this official ColorOS 16 update are the Oppo K13 Turbo and Oppo K13 Turbo Pro. This is the first major update for both devices.
The Android 16-based ColorOS 16 update for both Oppo K13 Turbo and K13 Turbo Pro is rolling out in India. It is expected to be released soon in other regions where these devices are available.
As usual, the update is first available to install by applying for the build. It is like a release candidate first released as an optional update and later released widely to the public without any extra step. So, if you want to experience the latest ColorOS 16 features early but don’t want to wait for the automatic OTA update, you can manually apply for the build and install it.
If you own an Oppo K13 Turbo or K13 Turbo Pro, you can apply and install the ColorOS 16 immediately by following the steps mentioned below:
- First update your device to the required version. K13 Turbo – CPH2761_16.0.1.300(EX01), K13 Turbo Pro – CPH2731_16.0.1.301(EX01).
- Go to Settings > System update > Software update.
- Tap on the top of the page > tap icon at the top right corner > Beta program > Release candidate, and then Apply for the official version.
- Now you can check for the update and install it.
Don’t forget to back up your data before installing the update.
ColorOS 16 is an interesting update that introduces several new features and changes, including a major design overhaul, improved performance, smoother animations, and a plethora of new features and updated system apps. Apart from these changes, the update also upgrades the monthly security patch version.
