Realme has begun rolling out the stable Android 15 update for the Realme C51. The update is rolling out in phases and will gradually expand to all users across different regions. This comes after months of beta testing, including the open beta program that was released in June.
Before diving into the details, I’d advise against upgrading your Realme C51 to Android 15 right now. The reason I am suggesting this is that this update is plagued with many issues. Rather than improving the user experience, it actually makes it worse.
The Android 15 update for the Realme C51 comes with build F.59, and since it’s a major update, it also weighs more than regular updates. The device was launched with the Android 13 update, and Android 15 is its second major update and probably the last one.
Many users have reportedly already received the Android 15 update on their Realme C51. However, most users complained of some issues after the update. After the update, users complained of battery drain, software lagging, and apps crashing.
The issues vary from user to user; some may encounter multiple problems while others might not face any at all. Talking about new features, the update brings the goodies of both Android 15 and Realme UI 6, such as new and improved animations, revamped app icons, realmeShare, charging limit, and more. However, the official changelog is not available yet. You can check the update changelog for other Realme devices here.
The Android 15 update for the Realme C51 is rolling out in multiple regions. If you own the device, you should receive the update soon, if you haven’t already. You can check for the update manually in Settings.
It is recommended that you take a full backup of your device before installing the update. Also, keep the battery more than 50% before installing the update.
