Introduction and specs
It’s crazy how far Si/C batteries have come in a relatively short period of time. We are barely two to three years into the mass adoption of battery technology, and manufacturers are already pushing the boundaries of what is possible with portable consumer devices. Si/C cells have significantly higher energy density than standard Li-Ion cells, making phones like the Realme P4 Power a reality.
Realme, along with OnePlus and Oppo, are the pioneers of fast charging, and now, we are seeing massive advancements in battery tech from these three as well. The Realme P4 Power ventures into the tablet territory with its massive 10,001 mAh battery, just months after the announcement of the first prototype.

The best part is that the massive battery doesn’t come with the usual trade-offs. Sure, the P4 Power isn’t exactly “slim” by any means, with a thickness of 9.1mm, and it’s somewhat hefty, tipping the scales at 219 grams. Бut it’s no brick either. The handset is more than manageable, and we’ve seen many phones in the past few years with similar dimensions and weight, running on much smaller 5,000 mAh-ish batteries.
In addition to the excellent battery life, Realme promises longevity, too. Since the phone will require less charging throughout its life cycle and the fact that Si/C packs are more durable, the company estimates that the battery will retain 80% of its capacity in 8 years with normal use.
Charging isn’t ground-breaking, but it’s more than decently fast when you put it in perspective. The 80W SuperVOOC charging will replenish 50% of the battery in 36 minutes. And 50% of 10,001 mAh is a lot of juice, equal to an average smartphone. The battery can charge other devices, supporting an output of 27W, which can be quite convenient.
Realme didn’t skimp on the other stuff, though. It’s as if the Realme P4 and P4 Pro had a child, as the Power borrows the P4 Pro’s 6.8-inch OLED display with 144Hz refresh rate and the P4’s camera hardware and Dimensity 7400 chipset.
Now let’s take a deeper dive and see if there’s more than just fancy battery tech on board.
Unboxing the Realme P4 Power
The Realme P4 Power we received came with the usual USB-C to USB-A cable for charging and data transfer, and also a compatible 80W SuperVOOC charger. There’s also a soft, transparent silicone case.

Keep in mind that the charger might not be included in some markets, but we can confirm that the Indian version gets one.
