Safaricom PLC has announced a scheduled system upgrade for its M-PESA platform, set to take place on Monday, 22nd September 2025, from 12:30 AM to 3:30 AM. The maintenance will temporarily disrupt all M-PESA services, including airtime purchases.
The upgrade is part of Safaricom’s ongoing commitment to provide always-on, safe, secure, and worry-free financial services to its customers. The company emphasized that the timing of the maintenance was carefully planned to minimize inconvenience.
