The stable One UI 8 was expected to arrive for the public by now, but Samsung delayed its release to September. Rumors even suggested that the South Korean tech giant might push it back further. However, Samsung has now confirmed once again that the stable One UI 8 will roll out in September.
Samsung has been testing One UI 8 for the past several weeks. So far, Samsung has released five One UI 8 beta builds for the Galaxy S25 series, with one more expected to arrive soon. The beta program could have already concluded if Samsung had stuck to its original timeline. Initially, the stable update was planned for an August release, but it was later pushed back by a month.
With the sixth beta expected to roll out, it seemed like Samsung might not be ready for the stable release and could delay it once again. However, in an interview press release focused on One UI 8 development, Samsung has reiterated that the stable One UI 8 update will officially commence in September.
Here’s the official statement released in a press release featuring the One UI 8 core development members.
One UI 8 will begin rolling out to other devices in September, starting with the Galaxy S25 series. By taking the synergy between AI and Samsung’s foldable form factors to new heights, the new user interface promises to open up new possibilities for everyday life.
As you’re already aware, the mentioned timeline applies to the Galaxy S25 devices. Other devices will get the stable update after Galaxy S25, one by one. The Galaxy S24 series and the sixth-gen foldable devices could be the next to receive the update, followed by other eligible Galaxy devices.
One UI 8 stands out as one of the most significant improvements in the One UI series, not just for its new features, but also for its enhanced overall user experience. From fluid animations to practical additions, the improvements in One UI 8 are truly remarkable. Once you experience it, you’ll be amazed at how much better it is compared to One UI 7.
