Samsung begins the week with the release of the One UI 8 update for more devices. The Android 16-based official One UI 8 update is now available for the Galaxy A33, Galaxy A53, and Galaxy M56. Here’s more information about the update for these devices.
The stable One UI 8 update for Galaxy A33 and Galaxy A53 is rolling out in Korea with build numbers A336NKSUBGYI3 and A536NKSUCGYI2, respectively. The update weighs over 2GB in size. On the other hand, the One UI 8 update for the Galaxy M56 is already live in India with build number M566BXXU3BYI6, and weighs around 2GB.
Among these three phones, the Galaxy A33 and Galaxy A53 were released in 2022 with Android 12 out of the box. This means Android 16 is their fourth and likely their final major update. In contrast, the Galaxy A56 is relatively new and was launched earlier this year. The Android 16-based One UI 8 is the first major update for Galaxy M56.
One UI 8 is a major update that introduces a ton of new features and changes such as the adaptive lock screen clock, improved split-screen view, better display support in Samsung DeX, easier file sharing with Quick Share, Dynamic Lock screen, hide apps in secure folder, updated stock apps, improved animations, and more.
The One UI 8 update for Galaxy A33, Galaxy A53, and Galaxy M56 is being rolled out in batches, which may take some time to reach all users. If you have one of these models and the update is already live in your region, you can check for the update in Settings > Software Update > Download and Install.
Before you install the update, make sure to back up important data and charge your device to at least 50%.
