The new center is designed to address both current and future employment needs.
Solly Malatsi, Minister for Government Relations at the Department of Communications and Digital Technologies, announced the launch of a new Skills Development Centre in Midvaal. The initiative is a partnership with Heineken and was launched alongside Midvaal Mayor Peter Teixeira.
The new center is designed to address both current and future employment needs. According to Malatsi, it will focus on strengthening artisan skills while also creating digital opportunities through the provision of computer labs and online literacy training. The goal is to provide pathways to real-world employment and entrepreneurship.
In his announcement, Malatsi highlighted the importance of collaboration between different sectors. He stated that when government, business, educators, and communities work together, they create more than just training—they create “livelihoods, income and dignity.”
