Space42 has reported resilient financial and operational performance for 2025, marking a pivotal year of execution as the UAE-based SpaceTech company advanced its strategy of integrating artificial intelligence into satellite and geospatial services. The company’s 2025 Annual Report reflects a transition from vision to delivery, positioning Space42 as a growing force in AI-powered space infrastructure.
Financially, Space42 maintained a strong footing despite what it described as a transitional year. The company recorded revenues of $577 million and achieved a normalized net profit of $79 million, representing a 14% margin. Looking ahead, Space42 enters 2026 with a substantial backlog of $6.5 billion in contracted future revenues, underscoring long-term demand for its services. Its satellite connectivity network now spans more than 150 countries, reaching over 80% of the global population.
Operationally, 2025 was marked by major milestones across satellite deployment, innovation, and financing. The successful launch of the Thuraya-4 satellite in January expanded connectivity coverage across Africa, Europe, and Asia. The company also advanced its Earth observation capabilities through the second phase deployment of the Foresight Constellation. In the consumer technology space, Space42 introduced Thuraya One, the world’s first Android 14 smartphone with built-in satellite connectivity. Additionally, it secured $695.5 million in financing to support the development of its next-generation Al Yah 4 and Al Yah 5 satellites.
A key pillar of Space42’s strategy is its deepening integration of artificial intelligence across its operations. The company has embedded more than 50 AI models into its space-based data workflows, enhancing analytics and decision-making capabilities. Its autonomous mobility program has also gained traction, with driverless vehicles covering over 600,000 kilometers across 20,000 trips without any recorded accidents, reinforcing its leadership in the emerging smart mobility sector.
On the global stage, Space42 strengthened partnerships to expand its geospatial footprint. Collaborations with Microsoft and Esri under the Map Africa Initiative are delivering high-resolution mapping data across 54 countries, supporting development and planning efforts across the continent.
Chairman Mansoor Al Mansoori described 2025 as the year in which the company’s strategic vision translated into tangible outcomes, establishing Space42 as a national leader in AI-powered space technology. As it moves into 2026, the company is focused on scaling its core strategic pillars and converting its growing pipeline into sustained commercial success.
