While most Spotify listeners would probably base their playlists around common factors such as genres or artists (or even have AI do it for them), it should be said that there are some users out there who prefer a more in-depth approach, such as arranging their playlists based on beats per minute (BPM) or on songs with certain keys.
That in mind, Spotify is making the latter two options a possibility with its new “Smart Reorder” tool, which will let users rearrange their playlists based either on key or BPM for a more consistent flow. To access the feature, users will need to tap on “Mix” on their chosen playlist, go to “Edit” and then proceed to “Smart Reorder”.
It should be noted though that the new feature is currently exclusive for Spotify Premium subscribers.
In other recent Spotify news, the platform announced that it’s rolling out its “Prompted Playlist” feature to more users, including Premium subscribers in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, as well as Sweden. Prompted Playlist allows users to create new lists simply by describing their preferences, whether it be based on moods, hobbies, favourite movies, and more.
