Telegram recently announced that it’s pushed out a new update which packs quite a ton of changes, including a major redesign for the app’s user interface which borrows a bit from Apple’s “Liquid Glass” software aesthetic, and new management options for groups and channels.
With that in mind, the new UI comes with a tweaked navigation bar that allows users to switch between chats, settings, and profiles more easily. The update also comes with changes for improved responsiveness and efficiency, including new power-saving toggles for Android users who want to adjust the app’s visual animations.
For iOS users, the update comes with a bit more in the way of the Liquid Glass aesthetic, which will be most visible when using the media viewer, sticker previews, and context menus.

The new update also comes with features for Community Management—for example, if a group owner leaves a chat without assigning a replacement, ownership will automatically transfer to an admin after one week. Additionally, owners of both groups and channels can now transfer their ownership rights to any member at any time without having to exit the conversation.
Interestingly, Telegram will now feature a new “Gift Crafting” system that lets users combine existing collectible gifts to create newer versions featuring enhanced artwork and unique effects. The crafting success rate increases as users add more items to the mix, and these creations can be traded securely on the internal Gift Marketplace.
Finally, bot developers can now customize their interfaces with colored buttons and emojis to better guide user interactions and highlight important actions.
