Samsung has finally kicked off the One UI 8 update campaign. As expected, the campaign commenced with the Galaxy S25 series, the latest flagship devices in the S series. One UI 8 is a big update for eligible Galaxy devices, introducing a range of interesting features along with massive performance improvements. Initially, the update was expected to commence rolling out in August, but it was delayed to September. Fortunately, Samsung refrained from further delays, and the update is now available.

As per the available roadmap, we can assume that the stable One UI 8 update will start rolling out to Galaxy S23 devices in various regions on October 2nd. This means Galaxy S23 users have to wait for a mere two weeks to get their hands on the stable One UI 8.
Currently, the One UI 8 is available for the Galaxy S23 through the beta program. I’ve tested the One UI 8 beta on my Galaxy S23, and it appears to be quite stable. I’ve noticed occasional network drops, but they are not frequent enough to make the update unusable for daily use.
To keep your device ready for the update, make sure the device is running the latest build of One UI 7 and has about 10 GB of free storage for a smooth upgrade.
