Huawei South Africa and the National School of Government (NSG) have signed a two-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at strengthening digital skills development within South Africa’s public sector and accelerating the government’s digital transformation journey.
Under the agreement, Huawei will support the NSG in integrating selected Huawei technology courses into the existing NSG U-Learning ecosystem. The collaboration will focus on priority areas including artificial intelligence (AI), cybersecurity, networking, storage, cloud computing, and digital government. The initiative is designed to equip public servants with practical, future-ready skills aligned with South Africa’s rapidly evolving digital landscape.

According to Ms Phindile Mkhwanazi, Acting Principal of the NSG, the agreement reflects a shared commitment to empowering public servants with the necessary digital competencies to meet modern governance demands and drive innovation within the public service.
