Kenya’s Cabinet Secretary for Information, Communications and the Digital Economy, William Kabogo Gitau, has officially launched the Pasenga Digital Hub in OlKalou Constituency, Nyandarua County, marking another step in the government’s efforts to expand digital access and promote digital inclusion across the country.
The newly established hub, equipped with fully functioning computers, is expected to serve as a center for digital learning, skills development, and access to technology for residents of the area, particularly young people seeking opportunities in the digital economy.
Speaking during the launch, Kabogo said the facility represents a significant milestone in the government’s commitment to bridging the digital divide and creating opportunities for communities through technology-driven initiatives. The Cabinet Secretary emphasized that the government remains focused on expanding access to digital infrastructure, promoting innovation, and creating employment opportunities through investments in information and communications technology. According to Kabogo, the Pasenga Digital Hub will provide local residents with access to digital tools, training opportunities, and internet-enabled services that can support education, entrepreneurship, and employment.
