Capitec Bank has announced Andrew Baker as its new Chief Information Officer (CIO), succeeding Wim de Bruyn, who has led the bank’s technology and data transformation for the past 11 years. Baker, who has worked closely with de Bruyn for the past four years, brings extensive expertise in technology and data management and will guide Capitec through the next phase of its digital evolution.
Wim de Bruyn will now lead a new executive portfolio focused on Payments, Value-Added Services, and Forex, building on his years of experience driving Capitec’s technology initiatives.
