Garissa University, the only public university serving Northern Kenya, is set to expand its facilities with support from the M-Pesa Foundation, aiming to accommodate the aspirations of around 5,200 students.
Currently, the university’s limited space has constrained learning, with students often negotiating for access to classrooms, resources, and facilities. The upcoming tuition complex is expected to alleviate these challenges, providing a modern environment that fosters skills-based higher education, including digital and innovation competencies.
The expansion reflects a commitment to empowering students to thrive academically and develop solutions for lasting societal change. With the new facilities, Garissa University aims to transform learning experiences, equipping students with the knowledge and tools needed for a brighter future.
