The Ministry of Digital Transformation, Innovation, and Administration Modernization (MTNIMA) has taken a significant step toward accelerating digital transformation in Bassiknou with the official inauguration of a new digital service desk. The opening ceremony was led by Mr. Yacoub Mohamed Boïlil, Technical Advisor in charge of Development and Interoperability at the Minister’s Office, in the presence of the Deputy Prefect of Bassiknou, Acting Prefect Mr. Mouttaly Abdellahi, and Mr. Khaled Sid’Elemin, representing the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).
The event also featured a training workshop for 20 young residents of the department, equipping them with the skills necessary to provide digital services to users of this key public facility. This initiative, funded by FAO, is part of the Ministry’s broader strategy to reduce the digital divide and ensure inclusive access to public digital services for all citizens.
The newly established digital desk offers a wide range of services, including support in creating and managing online accounts, guidance on navigating digital platforms, and assistance with accessing online services. Residents of Bassiknou also benefit from free access to tablets and internet-connected computers, which were specifically procured to enhance digital inclusion and ensure that all community members can fully engage with public digital services.
