Earlier this year, Google and Samsung announced that the Google Photos app will arrive for select Samsung smart TVs this year, and it looks like the companies have now begun rolling out the new feature. Part of an official announcement from Google reads:
We’re thrilled to announce our new Google Photos integration with Samsung TV, which makes it easier to bring your memories to the biggest screen in your home! If you own an eligible 2026 Samsung TV, you can now find your cherished moments featured on your TV through the Daily+ row, Daily+ app launcher, and Now Brief widget.
To access the Google Photos features, users will need to sign into Google Photos on their Samsung TV (provided that it supports the feature), where they can then access the Daily+ row to scroll through a selection of photo memories (which will refresh on their own), a Daily+ app launcher which will show viewers full-screen versions of memories, and Now Brief widget which will also display photo memories.
Later in the year, the feature will include AI-powered tools such as Google DeepMind’s “Nano Banana” model which lets users transform still images into short videos or apply artistic styles through a “Remix” feature, as well as personalized slideshows based on specific themes like travel or activities.
